About The Lyric Players
Founded in 1922, The Lyric Players have produced and performed high quality musical theatre in the local community for over ninety-five years.
We are an amateur performing arts society, most recently performing in the Sutton and Epsom areas. Recent shows have included Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Pirate Queen, Seussical and Urinetown.
Join Us
We produce two musicals a year, with opportunities for members to perform onstage, backstage or as part of our creative team. From audition through to show week each production takes around six months to bring to the stage.
We are always on the look out for talented singers, actors and dancers to join our society. The Lyric Players have an open audition policy, you do not need to be a member of the society to audition for a role in any production. Come along to an open meeting and find out more.
We are also keen to hear from those interested in joining the production teams for future productions. We would love to hear from both experienced and new directors, musical directors and choreographers who are interested in working with the society.
And we could not put on our productions without a hardworking team of backstage and front of house crew. We are always keen to hear from friends and volunteers interested in getting involved off stage.
