Autumn 2023 Announcement
13 May 2023

We are excited to announce our Autumn 2023 production - Side Show.
Loosely based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton, who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. With a book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger, the show follows Violet and Daisy's progression from England to America, around the vaudeville circuit, and to Hollywood on the eve of their appearance in the 1932 movie Freaks.

Spring 2023 Show Announcement
19th October 2022

We are excited to announce our return to the Cryer Theatre in April 2023 with Anyone Can Whistle!

Directed By Katie Leitch
Musical Direction by Nicholas Shaikh

Anyone Can Whistle tells the story of a corrupt mayoress who fakes a miracle to revitalize her bankrupt town (through the resulting pilgrim trade) and the ill-fated romance between the rational nurse, out to expose the fraud, and the easygoing doctor who is determined to enjoy the chaos that it brings. In the end, the show delivers a poignant message about the importance of the individual in a conformist society – but not before aiming its still-relevant barbs at government, religion, science and anything else that stands in its way!

Join us for our opening meeting 8pm, Tuesday 15th November 2022 at The Guide Hall, Mickleham Gardens, Cheam.

Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

One Week Until Pippin
24th April 2019

We have been working hard in the rehearsal room and it is almost time to bring you the magic and merriment of Pippin!

Ambitious young man Pippin longs to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfilment. Setting out on his quest to be something more than ordinary, Pippin learns of the horrors of war, the temptations of sex and the intrigues of political power. And through it all the Leading Player and her troop are there, helping him on his way towards that one extraordinary, exceptional act of glory.

With its infectious and unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Children of Eden) and its iconic choreography by Bob Fosse, Pippin is both a humorous allegory about growing up and a dark ale o the dangers of false appearances that has thrilled audiences since the original production in 1973. The most recent Broadway revival swept the New York awards circuit, including winning the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.
